A Call To Humanity
In the wake of a new disaster, just as usual,
we come together, unite, have emotions and feelings
for the innocent and the wasted. HOW PATHETIC!!!!
Again, we see. Again, we understand, feel our
real emotions the way we should.....but, then
again, lets not get carried away!
What we're really experiencing is not a disaster,
because there is no control over a disaster and
that is the way nature works! What we are experiencing
is a tragedy, an absolute and inevitable tragedy!
Our hands are bloody and our conscience cannot
be clear. We, with a capital "W" are
GUILTY AS CHARGED!
When the inevitable tragedy strikes, we rise
to the occasion, we help, sooth, volunteer, and
try to better the unfortunate situation at hand.
But over the hubbub and the rubadubbadub of the
heartless majority who gains their bread and butter
from this chaos, not a soul can be heard who mentions
the real problem rooted in our way of life and
thinking. I say it is helpless, or maybe I shouldn't,
but I am. How sad for me, but then again, maybe
for everyone!
"Comedy" is a more accurate word to
describe this given moment of our lives. One of
the elements which makes for good comedy is repetition.
The enactment of something serious over and over
and over and over again. Through time, which we
appear to have plenty of, this serious matter
loses its significance, importance, value. You
take the situation, you play around with it, use
it, you begin to laugh at it, and eventually,
you ignore the source and the fact that this comedy
once started as a tragedy. But the real tragedy
is the loss of human life, the forbiddance of
their right to exist, create and strive. It seems
like we are determined to repeat ourselves. Repeat
ourselves in this cycle of chaos, this merciless
order of things.
We need to go back....way back...and root-out
the problem before the immediate one at hand.
The hatred, the animosity, the everlasting belief
in the idea of an eye for an eye, life for life,
death for death, blood for blood. Is it not only
US who can break free of this darkness overshadowing
our better judgment and our hearts? To break down
this wall, to get through this fog and see what
is beyond... beyond this way of life and thinking,
the true causes of all our miseries, sufferings,
agonies and losses.
"I have a dream" one man said. Let
us turn it into "we" have a dream! And
as another suggested, let us not "slaughter
millions like pigs and then execute one lone monster
humanly"!
